Our passionate team of paediatric speech pathologists provide evidence-based, play-focused therapy tailored to each child’s unique strengths, needs, and interests. We work hand-in-hand with families to create meaningful, achievable goals—because you are the experts on your child, and we are here to support the journey. Our Team
Meet Laura
Hello - I’m Laura, Director and Senior Speech Pathologist at The Kids Speech Studio.
With 8 years of experience across private practice and not-for-profit sectors, including working for an Early Childhood Partner for the NDIS. I bring a compassionate, family and child-centered approach to supporting individuals with communication needs. I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of people across all ages and abilities, helping them build confidence and achieve meaningful communication outcomes.
My knowledge spans a variety of areas including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), language development, literacy support, and social communication skills. I have undertaken extensive addition training such as Sounds Write (structured literacy instruction), LEGO®-based therapy, Colourful Semantics, LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning for AAC users), TalkTools®, and Key Word Sign.
As a mother of two young children myself, I deeply understand the challenges, joys, and everyday realities that come with supporting a child’s development. This lived experience shapes my family-centred approach - where collaboration, empathy, and practicality are at the heart of everything I do. I believe that meaningful progress happens when families feel supported, heard, and involved.
With a warm, inclusive approach, I work closely with families to create engaging, functional goals that reflect each child’s unique strengths and needs. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or looking for new ways to support your child’s communication, I’m here to help every step of the way.
